Acer has announced the launch of its latest high-performance gaming desktop, the Predator Orion X, which is now available for pre-order in the UK. The compact yet powerful Orion X combines up to an Intel Core i9-13900KS processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, making it Acer’s most advanced pre-built gaming PC to date.
The Predator Orion X features a futuristic, sci-fi inspired design with an emphasis on easy upgrades and maintenance. The 15.4L chassis is divided into separate zones to house the CPU, GPU, cooling system and other components, allowing for optimized airflow and cooling. Despite its small size, the Orion X packs some serious horsepower, capable of running the latest games with maxed out settings.

Powerful Gaming Performance in a Compact Chassis
Despite weighing only 9kg, the Predator Orion X packs an incredible amount of gaming horsepower into a relatively small footprint. The 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900KS can be overclocked up to 6GHz to deliver elite-level single and multi-core performance. Combined with up to an NVIDIA RTX 4090 GPU, the Orion X can run demanding games at 4K resolution with all settings maxed out.
The sci-fi inspired chassis provides excellent cooling for these high-end components using a custom zone layout. The CPU, GPU, SSDs and cooling system each get their own compartment to optimize airflow and heat dissipation. This allows the powerful hardware to run safely under heavy loads during intense gaming sessions.

Designed for Easy Upgrades and Maintenance
While many compact gaming PCs sacrifice upgradability for size, the Predator Orion X manages to deliver both. The removable metal side panels provide quick access to the internal zones for upgrading components. Standard Phillips head screws mean no proprietary tools are required.
The Orion X also features tool-less drive bays to make storage expansion a breeze. Gamers can easily add more high-speed M.2 SSDs or traditional SATA hard drives as their storage needs grow. Hot swappable drive bays allow adding NVMe SSDs without powering down the system.
According to Acer, DIY-friendly upgrades were a key priority in the Orion X’s design. This gives the platform longevity, allowing gamers to incrementally upgrade as new components are released in the coming years.
UK Availability and Pricing
The Predator Orion X (POX-650 model) is available for pre-order now from Currys retailing at £3,799. Exact specifications, prices and availability may vary depending on configuration and region.
Acer states that the Orion X will begin shipping to pre-order customers in November, just in time for the holidays. This makes it an ideal high-end gaming gift for PC enthusiasts and power users.
