The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is now officially available in the UK and it is the cheapest Snapdragon 845 phone on the market offering flagship performance at mid-range prices.

However, like many phones, it comes with several variants, and one popular option has been the Armoured Edition that features a premium looking Kevlar rear.

The Armoured Edition has been previously restricted to the 8GB/256GB version of the phone, however it looks like Xiaomi are going to introduce this version across the range with the  6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage models receiving the Armoured treatment.

There is no information available on the pricing on the upcoming Armoured Edition variants of the Poco F1. Since the Armoured Edition of 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage model costs only around £15 more in its native markets it should not increase the price of the other models too much. Looking at various Chinese import sites the 8GB/256GB version costs a massive £478.96 but I can’t find listings for both the Armoured compared to the standard one with the same ram and memory.

The Poco F1 features a 6.18-inch IPS LCD notched screen that supports an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 and full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels.

The 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup is placed on the rear side of the phone. For shooting selfies, it is equipped with a 20-megapixel front-facing shooter. For security, the Poco F1 is equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader.

It is also equipped with a 4,000mAh battery that carries support for Quick Charge 4.0. The biggest downside of it is the lack of NFC so there is no contactless Google Pay when in stores.

The Pocophone F1 with 6GB RAM and 64GB Storage is currently available on Amazon Prime for just £279. This is sold by Amazon so it is both UK stock and returns/warranty through them.
