Amazon Black Friday Deals Day 1 – 22/11/19 – Echo Show 5 – £49.99 & Show 8 – £59.99
Today is the first official day of Amazon’s Black Friday sales, several retailers have already started theirs, with Amazon starting you can expect many more to follow suit.
As usual, I will be doing a quick post each day with some of the best deals.
Amazon always heavily discount their own products and it is a great time of year to buy them.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Ultra HD with Alexa Voice Remote
One of my favourite Amazon devices ever, at full RRP it outclasses most other streaming devices on the market, so with 40% off it is an almost a no brainer. It is possible it will drop down to £25 on Black Friday though, as this is the lowest price previously.
- Cinematic experience: watch in vibrant 4K Ultra HD with support for Dolby Vision, HDR and HDR10+.
- Launch and control your favourite movies and TV shows with the Alexa Voice Remote. Use the dedicated power, volume and mute buttons to control your compatible TV, soundbar and receiver.
- Enjoy favourites from BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Now, ITV Hub, All 4, Disney+, Apple TV and others (subscription fees may apply).
- Experience thousands of apps, Alexa skills and channels plus millions of websites such as Facebook and Reddit.
- Do more with Alexa — view supported live camera feeds, check the weather, dim lights, and stream music.
Echo Dot (3rd Gen)
It is pointless buying an Echo Dot any other time than Black Friday and Prime Day. 56% off is a cracking deal.
- Our most popular smart speaker: now with a fabric design and improved speaker for richer and louder sound.
- Voice control your music: stream songs from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, TuneIn and others. You can also listen to audiobooks from Audible.
- Bigger, better sound: pair with a second Echo Dot for rich, stereo sound. Fill your home with music with compatible Echo devices in different rooms.
- Ready to help: ask Alexa to play music, answer questions, read the news, check the weather, set alarms, control compatible smart home devices and more.
- Connect with others: call almost anyone hands free including UK mobile and residential numbers (from UK only), other Echo devices, Alexa app and Skype. Link your Vodafone account to make and receive mobile calls. Instantly drop in on other rooms in your home or make an announcement to every room with a compatible Echo device.
Echo Show 5
Not long launched and they have already knocked 38% off it. This is the cheapest Show devices and has received great reviews.
- Compact 5.5" smart display with Alexa, ready to help.
- Voice or video call friends and family with compatible Echo devices or the Alexa app.
- Manage calendar, make to-do lists, get weather and traffic updates and cook with step-by-step recipes.
- Watch films, news and TV programmes. Listen to songs, radio stations and audiobooks.
- Voice control compatible devices or manage them using the display.
Echo Show 8
Or you can save 50% off the larger Echo Show 8 which is only £10 more than the smaller model.
- Alexa can show you more: with an 8" HD screen and stereo sound, Alexa can help you manage your day at a glance.
- Connect with video calling and messaging: call friends and family who have the Alexa app or an Echo device with a screen. Make announcements to other devices in your home.
- Be entertained: ask Alexa to show you TV programmes, films or the news. Listen to radio stations, podcasts and audiobooks.
- Control your smart home: voice control compatible devices, or manage them on the easy-to-use display. Ask Alexa to show you security cameras, control lights and adjust thermostats.
- Make it yours: display your Amazon photo albums and customise your Home screen. Create morning routines to start your day.

Philips Hue White and Colour Ambiance Smart Bulb 3 Pack LED Bundle [GU10 Spot]
I am in the middle of having my kitchen extended. I love Philips Hue but the GU10 bulbs are painfully expensive when you need a dozen of them and just can’t afford the full price for the kitchen. These retail for £49 per bulb so even though £79.99 is a ridiculous amount of money for three bulbs it is the cheapest way to get them. These are the new bulbs with a shorter depth and Bluetooth.

Fitbit Charge 3 Advanced Fitness Tracker with Heart Rate
Another staple of Black Friday sales and hardly worth buying it any other time. While I have moved beyond fitness trackers myself, Fitbit is still a superb introduction into tracking basic fitness.
- Built swimproof and water resistant to 50M, Charge 3 automatically tracks swim workouts and can be worn in shower, pool and beyond. Radio transceiver: Bluetooth 4.0
- With a battery life of up to 7 days, Fitbit Charge 3 keeps the insights and inspiration coming day and night. Varies with use and other factors.
- Use 24/7 heart rate to better track calorie burn, optimise workouts and uncover health trends that inspire you to make moves on your health and fitness goals.
- Fitbit Charge 3 automatically recognises exercises like runs, swims, elliptical, sports and more and records them for you in the Fitbit app.
- Get a better understanding of your sleep quality, get helpful insights about each night and set a sleep schedule with bedtime reminders to actively work toward a consistent routine.
NUKI 2.0 Smart Lock Combo for Euro profile cylinder
I have previously reviewed the Nuki Smart Lock this and it is one of the best smart lock solutions on the market, however, I thought it was a bit pricey. With 29% off this is much better but it is time limed for today.

Tile Pro
I have become a big fan of Tile, and currently, use the Tile Mate. This deal is superb, it works out the same price per Tile as I paid for the Mate but the Pro model has water resistance and a longer range.
- Ring your things: Use your smartphone to make your Tile Pro ring when it’s nearby but out of sight
- Find your phone: Can't find your phone? Simply double press the Tile button on your Tile Pro to make your phone ring, even when it’s on silent
- Activate Community Find: If your Tile Pro is faraway, let other Tile community members help. The Tile app running on their phones can send location updates to your app, letting you know where your Tile Pro is
- Battery life: Replaceable CR2032 battery is guaranteed for one year from activation. You can easily replace it yourself
Tile Mate with Replaceable Battery and Tile Slim – 4 pack (2 x Mate, 2 x Slim)
Or get a 4-pack for less than a tenner each. This includes 2 slims which is ideal for your wallet.
