TP-Link is exhibiting its newest Wi-Fi 7 products at CES 2024 in Las Vegas this week. The company’s extensive range includes new routers, mesh systems, adapters and more.

What is Wi-Fi 7?

Wi-Fi 7, also known as IEEE 802.11be, is the next generation of Wi-Fi technology, building on previous standards like 802.11ac and 802.11ax. It offers faster multi-gigabit speeds, increased bandwidth and capacity, and lower latency than current Wi-Fi generations.

Key benefits of Wi-Fi 7 include:

  • Faster speeds – Theoretical maximum speeds of up to 46 Gbps, 4x faster than Wi-Fi 6. Real-world speeds will reach over 10 Gbps.
  • Less congestion – More channels in the 6 GHz band reduce interference from legacy devices.
  • Lower latency – Critical for gaming, VR and high-bandwidth applications.
  • Backwards compatibility – Wi-Fi 7 clients and routers will work with older Wi-Fi devices.

Whole Home Mesh with Deco

TP-Link has unveiled several new Deco mesh Wi-Fi 7 systems to provide fast and reliable whole home coverage. The flagship Deco BE95 delivers lightning-fast speeds up to 33 Gbps across 16 streams, making it TP-Link’s highest performance mesh system.

All the new Deco models include the latest advancements like the 6 GHz band, 320 MHz channels, 4K QAM and tri-band technology. They also feature multi-gigabit ports supporting speeds up to 10 Gbps for connecting NAS devices and game servers.

The flexible systems allow fibre optic, Ethernet, 5G/4G or DSL internet connections. TP-Link is also launching an Outdoor Mesh Wi-Fi Deco model to extend signals to outdoor areas.

Next-Gen Archer Routers Redefine Performance

TP-Link has launched six new Archer series Wi-Fi 7 routers including the Archer BE900 quad-stream router with an incredible top speed of 24.4 Gbps. It contains 12 internal antennas for optimal wireless coverage and is equipped with advanced features like a 10G WAN/LAN port and four 2.5G LAN ports.

Other highlights include the Archer BE800, TP-Link’s first EasyMesh compatible Wi-Fi 7 router, and the Archer GE800 – the company’s inaugural Wi-Fi 7 gaming router. It uses dynamic tri-band technology to deliver lag-free 19 Gbps speeds along with gaming enhancements like traffic prioritisation.

World’s First Wi-Fi 7 Adapter for Next-Level PC Gaming

PC gaming enthusiasts will appreciate TP-Link’s groundbreaking Archer TBE550E PCIe adapter. It arms desktops and laptops with high-performance Wi-Fi 7 connectivity for the first time.

The advanced adapter enables smooth 4K streaming, VR gaming and other bandwidth-intensive tasks. It also provides low latency and minimal lag for competitive online gaming.

With vivid RGB lighting and an integrated touchscreen, the Archer TBE550E brings style and functionality to any gaming rig.

Intelligent Home Network Security

Along with higher speeds, TP-Link understands the need for robust home network security. All the new routers offer HomeShield services for protecting home networks through features like hack prevention, IoT monitoring, content filtering and usage reports.

Several flexible paid plans are available so consumers can choose the right level of security and parental controls for their needs.

More Wi-Fi 7 Products Expected

With Wi-Fi 7 still in the early stages of adoption, TP-Link plans to rapidly grow its portfolio of cutting-edge devices. Consumers can likely expect more Wi-Fi 7 routers, mesh systems, adapters and other products to be announced through 2024 and beyond.

TP-Link continues to be the top provider of consumer Wi-Fi devices globally. With over 25 years of networking experience, the company is leveraging its technical expertise to usher in the Wi-Fi 7 era for homes and businesses worldwide.
