As well as launching the new Samsung Galaxy S23 series, Samsung announced a new range of Samsung Galaxy Book3 laptops.

Four laptops have been announced:

  • Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 14
  • Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 16
  • Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 360
  • Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra

  • Display: 16-inch AMOLED display – 16:10 aspect ratio – 3K 2880×1800 resolution
  • CPU: 13th Gen Intel Core i9 or i7 – with Intel Evo
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 or 4050
  • Memory: 16GB/32GB LPDDR5
  • Storage: 512GB/1TB PCIe SSD and expansions slot
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6E / Bluetooth 5.1
  • Battery: 76Wh typical
  • Charging: 100W USB Type-C Adaptor
  • Dimensions 335.4 x 250.4 x 16.5 mm
  • Weight: 1.79kg

This one is the most interesting to me, it is a powerful, relatively light laptop that has a dedicated GPU and is one of the first laptops to feature a GeForce RTX 4070/4050 series GPU.

It also omits an annoying DC power port in favour of a 100W Power Delivery USB-C port.

For ports, you have 1x USB 3.2 and 2x Thunderbolt 4, so you can easily add a second monitor and peripherals while minimising cable clutter (and cable types).

All the laptops launching today have a multi-control and second screen, allowing you to work seamlessly with other Samsung devices.

The Phone Link function now has an instant hotspot, which allows you to connect to the phone with just one click.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 / 16 / 14

The Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro are all essentially the same laptops but with different displays and dimensions.

All the displays run at the same resolution/brightness; it is just the size that’s different. The 360 can fold over on itself for tablet functionality. The 360 also includes an S Pen.
