I previously reviewed the EnGenius ECW230 access point in 2020. It was a well-specced mid to high-end AP with a 4×4 radio and 2.5GbE. It was one of the first Engenius products I had reviewed that ditched the ezMaster system for the new Engenius Cloud. The EnGenius ECW220S is a lower specced access point, but…
The TRENDnet TEG-S762 and TEG-S750 were announced in the UK back in February. The TEG-S750 is perhaps the more interesting of the two models being a 5 port 10Gbps switch priced at around £300. As far as I am aware, there are no other five port 10Gbps switches on the market at this price. The…
I have previously reviewed the Devolo Magic 2 WiFi 6 Whole Home Kit, and this review is for the Mesh Whole Home Kit. It is a small but important difference. With the previous review, you have one main adaptor for the input then two WiFi adaptors which would provide WiFi 6. This would typically mean…

The ZTE MU5001 5G mobile hotspot with WiFi 6 launched last year and has since been rebranded by Vodafone for its 5G mobile hotspot hardware. Vodafone Deal If you were to buy the ZTE MU5001 by itself from Amazon, it would cost you over £300. A recent deal on Vodafone allowed you to pick up…
Following on from my FRITZ!Box 4060 router review. I was also sent the FRITZ!Repeater 6000 allowing me to upgrade the router into a fully-fledged tri-band WiFi 6 mesh system. Specification Tri-band Wi-Fi: 2400 Mbit/s (5 GHz, 4 x 4, 80 MHz) 2400 Mbit/s (5 GHz, 4 x 4, 80 MHz) 1200 Mbit/s (2.4 GHz, 4…
The new FRITZ!Box 4060 adopts a similar approach to most modern routers nowadays. There is no modem, and your Internet needs to be fed into the WAN port. For many people in the UK, this design makes sense as we are often locked into ISP supplied hardware. All my recent FRITZ!Box reviews have had to…
I was a fan of the WiFi 5 based Devolo Mesh WiFi 2 and I have already reviewed the Devolo Magic 2 WiFi 6. My issue with the was that you theoretically end up with multiple SSIDs and depending on the quality of your home wiring there was a chance you would not be able…
The Nighthawk RAXE500 was announced at CES 2021, and it has been available in the US for a while now. Recently it has become available in the UK. This is the new flagship gaming router from Netgear and features the new WiFi 6E technology, which can broadcast using the new 6Ghz band. Most new laptops…
I recently reviewed the Netgear NBK752 Orbi 5G WiFi 6 Mesh System, which is an outstanding premium-priced mesh system with a built-in 5G modem allowing you to use 5G as your main form of Internet or as a failover connection. During the review, I wanted to get the best speeds possible, so I bought the…
A few years ago, I bought and reviewed the excellent Mikrotik Cloud Smart Switch 326-24G-2S+RM, which provided me with one of the cheapest ways to upgrade my network with 10Gbps LAN connections. Like many enthusiasts, I paired this up with a cheap Mellanox Connectx card. Unfortunately, after upgrading my PC, for whatever reason, I could…
