While some folks love a balanced or neutral sound signature, others simply prefer headphones and speakers that give a higher bass response.
People from both sides give genuine arguments in their favour and it’s an evergreen topic in many audio-related forums and group discussions,
My take on this issue is pretty simple: To each his own.
If you love a good amount of bass, it doesn’t make you any less of a music lover than a guy who loves balanced sound, and vice versa.
With this out of the way, here we will discuss 5 headphones that can give you a high bass response.

These headphones come with different form factors and features which set them apart. It also makes it easier for you to choose your own according to your liking.
1) Anker Soundcore Life P2: Check Price On Amazon

The first pick we have is the Anker Soundcore Life P2. This true wireless earbuds pair is a worthy option if you don’t want to get into tangled wires and have a somewhat limited budget.
Due to the smaller size of truly wireless earbuds, there’s little room for creativity in terms of design. This is the reason by most of them look identical.
The same is true for Soundcore Like P2 because it looks very similar to Apple’s AirPods except for the color. So to avoid being a copycat, Anker has made some adjustments that make these earbuds are not only lightweight but fit exceptionally well.
Still, there are several silicon tips included if you feel otherwise. Each of its buds has a single button with basic functionality: on/off, device pairing, and soundtrack changing. It feels good to see a USB-C port on the back of the carrying case.
P2 earbuds also come with an IPX7 rating, so you can use them for workout sessions or running as well. But there are some better options if you’re going to use them for running only.
Its sibling Soundcore Curve 2019 was more comfortable and long-lasting than P2, but the latter more than makes up for it by having a better build quality. Plus, it has a high-battery carrying case that can provide power for almost 35 hours of total playback time (almost 5 charges on the go).
On a single charge, these earbuds last about 7 hours which is good for their price.
Being a part of this roundup, P2 earbuds produce a slightly emphasized bass response (but not as much as some other bass headphones do) with a good soundstage.
While the treble is well-balanced, the mids are recessed which makes it less ideal for genres like Rock (where you get vocals and guitar, for example).
But it’s good for most other genres and at this price level, you can’t argue much.

Skullcandy is not the most popular headphones brand but is making strides for quite some time. They’re making budget earbuds for quite some time but have been trying to enter the premium headphones market in recent times too.
This pair costs almost 150 bucks, and it will make you realize it even at first glance. Skullcandy has not done any aggressive branding, which adds to the overall elegance.
From the outside, it has rubberized plastic covering the metal frame and premium leather on the headband. The folding hinges, rotating earcups, and the inclusion of a carrying case give this pair a good level of portability.
On the right earcup, you’ll get three buttons for playback and volume adjustments.
Overall, the build quality is good, and the controls’ functions are pretty straightforward.
On the left cup, there’s an AUX port, a power button, and a bass slider.
This bass slider is a good addition in the sense that you can adjust the bass level on the go. The sound carries above-average bass without even turning it on.
Once the slider is turned on, make sure to keep it somewhere in the middle. Because going all the way up will make the bass muddy and impact your overall sound experience.
The mids are well-tuned but lean slightly towards the lower end. The soundstage is natural but is not open enough compared to other options.
Being a wireless headphones pair, Crusher Evo connects through Bluetooth 5.0. It does not support Bluetooth multipoint feature so you can’t connect it with two devices at one time.
Apart from this, I found these headphones to be a little bulky and they don’t provide good noise isolation
On the plus side, these headphones have an impressive 35-hour battery life, an integrated microphone, and provide fast charging.
You get a companion app as well that can help you further customize sound through EQ presets.
3) V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Master: Check Price On Amazon

Crossfade M-100 Master is the successor to the Original Crossfade M100 headphones. M100 headphones were unique because of their development by V-Moda after taking feedback from several audiophiles, journos, and DJs, etc.
Both of these headphones have the same 32 Ohm impedance but the M-100 Master is slightly more sensitive and has a little more weight due to its plush cushions.
From its design, M-100 Master looks more like a Pro headphones pair geared towards DJs and studio recordings rather than one for the consumer. You can see the exposed screws behind the earcups and on the headband joint.
The headband of M-100 Master is made up of flexible steel which makes it very durable. Along with the cups, it’s coated with premium artificial leather for comfort. This leather, along with the memory foam coating on the earpads, is the reason why they are far more comfortable than what their metallic build suggests.
Still, this pair can make you feel tired after long usage.
M-100 Master comes with the 50mm dual diaphragm drivers that allow producing frequencies from 5 Hz to 40,000 Hz and is certified Hi-res by Japan Audio Society just like its predecessor.
It’s not as bass-heavy as other headphones in this list but whatever bass you get is punchy, not muddy. The highs are crisp too, but the overall balance is skewed towards the mids which makes the vocals and guitars sound great
The sound produced is very detailed, on the whole, but the soundstage is slightly smaller when compared to other headphones at its price.
And since they are labeled as Hi-Res headphones, you will be able to notice any poor audio source quickly.
The real downside I can think of is the lack of Active Noise Cancellation technology (despite having excellent passive isolation), which is something you can expect in this price range.
4) Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless: Check Price On Amazon

As our last pick, we have the Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless. As suggested by its name, this is the third iteration of Sennheiser’s Momentum Wireless series. Since the first and second versions were huge hits in their time, Momentum 3 wireless had big shoes to fill.
Gladly, it lives up to the expectations for the most part.
Sennheiser has not made many changes in the design department which means you still get those oval-shaped earcups, leather earpads, and stainless steel sliders.
The one change you’ll get in the design is the volume toggle on the right earcup which has been replaced the volume up and down buttons. B
etween those buttons lies the pause/play multifunction button that can also skip or forwards soundtracks, end phone calls, and read out battery status when held down.
Above these three controls is the noise-canceling toggle to turn this feature on and off. While the active noise cancellation doesn’t quite match the likes of Bose NC 700, it’s pretty good and can definitely give you some time alone with your music.
Through the mobile app, you can access its three Noise canceling mode: full-blown, Anti-Wind, and Anti-Pressure.
Anti-Pressure is the least intensive of them all and gives you a neutral soundstage. As you go with higher modes, the bass becomes more emphasized.
Like all Sennheiser headphones, Momentum 3 wireless sounds good. The sound is bass-heavy which means it won’t go well with folk or classical music.
Being a premium headphones par, it comes with a lot of high-end bells and whistles. For example, they will automatically turn on when unfolded and will be paired to an audio source. Then they will pause and resume playback automatically based on whether you remove or put them over your head.
Not only that, but you also get Alexa integration through the mobile app that can help you make voice commands. In case you like things the old way, there’s a button on the bottom side of the right earcup which enables the voice assistant on your phone.
Then there’s a transparent hearing mode that amplifies the incoming noise so that you can hear the conversations and announcements in your surrounding.
Thanks to new Bluetooth codecs like AAC and SBC, you get audio and video synchronization when watching video content.
Lastly, there’s an integrated Bluetooth Tracker which allows you to find these headphones if lost, through a third-party app called Tile.
If there’s any shortcoming with these otherwise excellent headphones, then it would be the battery life.
Yes, it’s very good at 17 hours but pales when compared with other premium wireless headphones such as Bose NC 700 and Sony WH-1000MX4.
