The Acer Acerpure Cool C2 2-in-1 Smart Air Purifier & Circulator (model AC551-50W) is the first air purifier I have reviewed from Acer. While Acer may not be well known for air purifiers, they have been expanding in a variety of different niches in recent years, including e-bikes and even a desk bike similar to…
I have been a big fan of the dual-lens cameras Reolink has produced, and I continue to use the Reolink Duo Floodlight in my back garden and the Reolink Duo 3 in my front garden. Reolink has now implemented this tech in its Argus range, with the Argus 4 Pro being the new flagship model….
I reviewed the Airrobo T10+ two years ago and thought it was superb. At the time, it was the most affordable robot vacuum with an auto-empty station, and I have continued to use it as my main robot vacuum for the past couple of years. Airrobo has now launched its successor, the T20+ which is…
Over three years ago, I reviewed the excellent Arlo Essential Video Doorbell. It differentiated itself from other popular video doorbells with a camera that recorded at 1536×1536 resolution with a 180-degree diagonal field of view, allowing it to see head to toe with a single camera. Arlo has finally launched a new doorbell, which was…

[Update – 12th February 2024] I originally wrote this review back in December 2023 and criticised this TRV due to the mess that was the Tapo and Kasa interoperability. I expressed annoyance that the Kasa smart hub had the same hardware as the Tapo smart hub, but you couldn’t add the KE100 to the Tapo…
The Aqara Motion and Light Sensor P2 is the third product Aqara has launched that has native Matter support which is achieved through the thread protocol. It joins the Door and Window Sensor P2 and the Aqara Presence Sensor FP2. I’m not sure why they released this after the other two, as I feel it’s…
I have been a big fan of robot vacuums for several years now and have loved seeing the technology evolve. Originally, I had a Eufy robot vacuum that would bounce around our kitchen, randomly cleaning up my mess. Nowadays, I am all about robot vacuums with Lidar or Vslam mapping and auto-emptying stations. The Hobot…
The Philips Hue Floodlight Camera was announced at IFA 2023 as part of the Philips Hue Secure launch, along with three other cameras. It joins a growing number of floodlight cameras on the market, but its integration with the Philips Hue ecosystem sets it apart. As I am heavily invested in Philips Hue, I have…
