I became a bit obsessed with air quality last year, I have found improving indoor air quality has reduced a lot of my issues with breathing. One factor in this is humidity levels. Too high and you promote the growth of mould, too low, and it can dry out your sinuses and cause other issues….
While I generally love the Huawei watches, they have a major flaw. For watches that are so focussed on health and fitness (the app is even called Huawei Health) there is a serious issue with the lack of integration with major fitness apps. Specifically, Strava. When I moan about it to other tech bloggers, I…
Aftershokz has produced bone conduction earphones for around a decade now, with no other big brand offering them competition. This style of earphones is predominantly focussed on outdoor fitness providing increased situational awareness that in-ear options will never be able to offer. Bone conducting headphones are the only earphones that are approved for use in all road races under…
Featured image not me, unfortunately. The Wahoo Tickr & Tickr X came out in May last year and looked to be the best HRM options on the market, more affordable than Garmin and with superior Bluetooth options. As usual, Dcrainmaker had an in-depth review almost as soon as the product was available for pre-order. Both…
[Update] Aktiia have confirmed they have no relation to the Valencell, and the Valencell technology seems to be some way off being consumer-ready. After spending most of my twenties being unhealthy I am quite paranoid about heart health. In the UK 63% of people are overweight and 28% obese, so most people should be concerned…
During CES 2021, Amazfit announced their latest smartwatches the Amazfit GTR 2e and GTS 2e, offering a similar aesthetic and feature set to the existing Amazfit GTR 2 & GT 2 but at a lower price point. I reviewed the Amazfit GTS 2 back in December and found it to be a superb option for…

For the global release, they disable the NFC which is used for various payments and services in China. Pricing is kept highly competitive at around $34 Then OnePlus has also announced their new affordable fitness tracking back….

[Update 3rd of January 2021] Fix rolled out for Garmin It now looks like Garmin have pushed the CPE file update to their users, if you have phone syncing on, this should update automatically. You can also manually update via Garmin Connect If you check System > About and CPE and it shows expired, the update has not…
Not really newsworthy but some insight into what goes into the development of Huawei fitness wearables such as the GT2 Pro and GT 2e. Huawei has just launched its Health Lab, which includes an experimental smart wearable product testing area and a sports health innovation area. Within the experimental smart wearable product testing area, engineers…
When I reviewed the Zepp E, I made a lot of comparisons to the just-announced Amazfit GTS 2, which on paper looked like a more compelling option. The GTS 2 watch has now landed in the UK for £159.99 placing it around £40 less than the Zepp E and £60 more than original GTS. Specification…
