I will admit, I spend an unhealthy amount of time thinking about what I would buy if I won the lottery. I go through all sorts of scenarios, what would I buy if I won 1million, or 100 million, and all the numbers in between.
With odds of 1 in 139,838,160, it is unlikely I will ever hit the jackpot, I have more success with gaming sice such as goldenslot, albeit for much smaller wins.
Recently the Euro Millions hit a staggering £170,221,000 that was won by a single anonymous person. However, that pales in comparison to the US Powerball which hit $1.586 billion which happened in January 2017.
The US lottery works a little differently than the UK and EU, they pay taxes and then have a weird option of taking a lump sum at a reduced rate or the full sum over 30 years. So if you just casually won a Billion taking the lump sum would reduce the payout to 61% or $610 million and then you would get Federal Taxes Paid (24%) which is another $146.4 million. That would leave you with a meagre $463,600,000 or if you convert it to GBP that is £358,919,000.
As a UK resident, it is not exactly easy to pop over to the US and buy a Powerball ticket but you can bet on the US Powerball from your UK mobile with Lottoland.

Bugatti Chiron – $3,260,000 – Featured Image
This sports car is the successor to the Bugatti Veyron. Named after a Monegasque racer Louis Chiron, it has an 8.0 litres quad turbocharges W16 engine. The car can accelerate from 0-97km/h in 2.4 seconds.
The Chiron is high on speed and has no tyre that can handle the stress of the top speed so it is electronically limited to 420km/h.
Bugatti La Voiture Noire
A modern interpretation of Jean Bugatti’s personal Type 57 SC Atlantic that got lost during World War II, the stunning grand tourer is described by the manufacturer from Molsheim as being the most expensive new car ever sold.
It uses the same quad-turbo W16 8.0-litre engine with 1,479 bhp and 1,180 pound-feet of torque as the Chiron, Chiron Sport, and Divo.
There was only one made, so you can’t actually buy it, but the asking price was €11 million (approx. £9.5M) before taxes and the final sale value was €16.5M (£14M), taxes included.

The Patek Philippe may not be available to buy but the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Grande Complication is still on sale, and for a bargain price of around £750,000.
The fiddly insides are all hand-finished, cut-out and bead-blasted with polished bevels, and feature a matte surface underneath. This is all accompanied by a wealth of features, including split-second chronograph, perpetual calendar and a minute repeater.

For lottery winners, consumer tech is small change but if you have the space to go big companies like Sony and Samsung a few pricey options. The Sony Bravia Master Series Z9G is the flagship TV from Sony, the 85-inch one can be bought from John Lewis for a paltry £14k but if you go up to 98-inches that price jumps up to around £55k

WAMM stands for Wilson Audio Modular Monitor and yes, you've guessed it, these Master Chronosonics are multi-module loudspeakers.
Each speaker is over 7ft tall, constructed out of aerospace-grade aluminium, and its open architecture is designed to minimise stored energy. Each pair takes about 10 weeks to make, so we're not surprised Wilson Audio is only producing 70 pairs of these £700k speakers.
