If you own an iPhone or any phone for that matter, you will need to update your apps regularly. The process of updating iPhone apps from the apps store is easily done. It requires you to follow a few steps and once accepted your Apple device will do the rest. Some people like to switch on automatic updates, meaning if you have done this in the past, you may find all your apps are up-to-date.

  • Log into your iPhone and load up the app store 
  • On the top right of your screen, you will see a profile icon – select this
  • Scroll down and you will see pending updated and release notes 
  • On the right of the application, tap the update button
  • This will then update the app on your iPhone 
  • If you prefer, you can click the update all button to update all apps on your iPhone device. 

How to turn on automatic updates 

If you are happy with your applications automatically updating in the background when using your iPhone, you can set them to update automatically. To do this, follow these instructions:

  • Navigate your iPhone and select the settings app
  • When in the settings area, select the app store
  • Select the automatic downloads button – you can turn off automatic updates by following these steps.
