After selling everything he had, Revell flew to Vegas and placed down a wager of $135,000 on an outside even money bet, red.
Leaving his fate down to Lady Luck and the Roulette wheel, Revell, along with players around the table watching, waited in anticipation to see whether or not he was about to lose it all or double his money. The ball bounced around the spinning wheel before landing in pocket number seven, which luckily for Revell, is red.
Revell turned his $135,000 into $270,000 with one single spin of the iconic wheel.
Pedro Grendene Bartelle
A more recent win within the Roulette history books, took place in January 2017, when the owner of the third largest footwear company in Latin America, Pedro Grendene Bartelle, walked into the Hotel Conrad casino floor in Punta del Este, Uruguay, and decided to place a straight bet on number 32.
A straight bet is an inside bet type, which is the name given for when a player places a wager on a single number within the Roulette table. A straight bet holds a payout of 35:1.
Bartelle placed a wager worth $35,000 on number 32, and to his delight, the ball landed in pocket number 32. In an instant, $35,000 turned into $3.5 million.
What makes this more of a surprising win, is the fact that the winning spin, thanks to the ever-advancing technology, was caught on video by a spectator in the crowd around the Roulette table. In the video you can see Bartelle and friends jumping for joy when they spot the ball land in pocket 32.
